It’s a great storage place for all of my boys toys and looks like too. My only complaint is the top lid is not as sturdy as I would like it to be. My daughter sat on it and it sounded like it cracked a little.I can’t attest to the durability but it seems to be inexpensivly made however the price tag doesn’t reflect that. It is small and not a sturdy piece of furniture like I was hoping for. I was actually embarrassed when we came over to see our grandson after his first birthday and we saw that my son had put it together and it was nowhere near as nice as we expected for the close to $200 price tag. It was just small and cheap. I plan on buying another more substantial piece of furniture that will be in his bedroom for a long time. Save your money for something nicer.The design is pretty solid. The only knock is the bottom panel is relatively flimsy compared to the sides and top. The problem with this is that my little boy enjoys climbing into the chest and popping out.The toy box was delivered in 2 business days!!! Wow, that was really fast.It's a beautiful toy box and a bench as well. Sturdy , well made and easy to assemble.Easy to assemble, good quality, great lid that cannot fall down to hurt a child. We love Melissa and Doug products!I absolutely love this toy box! Worth every penny. I bought the wood color. It’s very sturdy and I catch my 3 year on top of it all the time (even though she knows not too) but I never hear a noise of cracking like wood would. Lots of space I use it for all the stuffed animals.I like how huge it is, very spacious for my kid’s toys. I like the color it matches his other furnitures in his room. It is pretty heavy so it seems sturdy but the bottom board is made of thin wood seems like it will break easy. The instructions are pretty easy to follow but it won’t let you use power tools so it can get tiring screwing all screws. One of my biggest disappointment is we did exactly what’s the instructions but the lid won’t close all the way and 1 screw for the hinge is defective and they don’t have any extra screws ??‍♀️I bought two of these for my grandkids toys. I’m putting the “kid” room back into a guest bedroom but needed something nice to conceal the toys when they aren’t here. These did the trick. They are sturdy, fits a good deal of toys, and are very pretty. They do not look cheap at all and can double as a bench to sit on. I would definitely recommend these.I had looked at this products for months and read many, many reviews before purchasing. As soon as I cut the tape on the box I got a huge whiff of a chemical smell akin to spray paint. It stunk so bad I opened it outside and let it air out in our garage. It made our whole garage smell. It’s been airing out for 5 days now and still stinks. We spend a lot of money on getting good quality toys for our little one. There is no way I’d put anything in this toxic box let alone my child’s toys.We love this toy chest. It is the perfect size. Quite large and fits a ton of toys, but not to big to take up a lot of room in our apartment. It looks very nice and functions quite well. The hinges used are quality and they allow for very easy operation. The lid stays open in any position and never comes crashing down because the hinges hold it in place. This is a important feature because the first thing my 9 month old baby did was walk up to it, open and close the lid multiple times while taking several breaks to stick his head in the toy chest and see what is in there. This toy chest is very safe so I have no worry of it hurting my curious little baby. It is also the perfect height so our 9 month old can stand up and hold onto it, operate the lid himself, and reach a few toys that are closer to the top. The wood is a good compromise between durable hardwood and lower cost particle board. I am sure it could support children who want to sit on it and maybe a light weight adult, but it is really not designed to be used as a bench.Before this toy chest came toys were everywhere. Pilling up in corners and hard to clean up at the end of the day. We needed a toy chest so onto amazon I went. I have a few other of Melissa and Doug's products and they are all made very well and our baby has loved them. I was happy to see that they make a toy chest so I have something to contain all the toys they sold me. I think this toy chest is a good price point and uses durable enough materials to last a long time. It is also nice that it comes in different colors so that you can match your decor. Building this toy chest was very easy, anyone could do it. It only used one tool and took about 20 minutes or less. After I built it I noticed that the lid did not align well and it would crash into the side of the toy chest when I closed it. So I loosened the screws, realigned the lid and then fastened the screws. Problem was solved. It also mentions in the instructions to wait until it is full assembled before you fully fasten all the screws. I found that it was important to have the chest on level ground when fastening all the screws and not have two legs on and two legs off the carpet like I did at first.I would recommend this to anyone who has a baby or child with a lot of toys. It is really nice to have a place to put all the toys at the end of the day and also control how many toys are out in the play area at one time. I look forward to using the toy chest as a teaching tool to help my son learn how to tidy up after himself. La livraison a été effectué par Intelcom express, très professionnel au NB !I am the absolute worst at building shipped furniture, but the instructions were amazing, easy to understand and building it was a slice. Didn't get confused or make any mistakes which is a first for me me this kind of stuff.It is perfect in my son's play area, high quality wood and the cover is held up by a mechanism so it doesn't slam down on babies fingers. Delivery was very quick and packaging easy to open and remove pieces.One of my favourite purchases of late, and there have been a few :)
