I bought this for selling clothing on eBay and I much prefer it to a plastic half form I used to have. It just looks more polished when clothes are displayed on it. They look nice. Great for selling on eBay or display in general, but you'll find yourself tightening the base from time to time if you're taking a lot of clothes off and on it. It's not super secure, but relatively secure. It will tip over if you're working hard with it to put clothes on it. This probably applies only to the smaller size with smaller clothes. Definitely not a sturdy sewing form but great for displaying items. I got a good price (the price goes up and down on Amazon so check it every once in a while) so I bought it. It meets my needs.first of all: wow!here is a big shout out to the seller: the dress form was shipped on a thursday and arrived the following day! it was packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition! it was easy to assemble and i was more than pleased i could remove the hook on the back of the neck. i just took out the screw, removed the hook, and put the screw back in the hole.the quality of the dress form is top notch. the jersey looks to be sturdy and i am beyond pleased. in the photos it looked a little delicate and i was worried it might snag. after receiving it, i am far less concerned.the base is thin but very sturdy. the dress form (fully assembled) has a very good weight. it's not too heavy to move around, but i'm certainly not worried i will knock it over while 'dressing' it.i could not recommend this dress form, or the seller, more! if i ever were to need another, i would immediately buy from this seller again!I was looking for an inexpensive mannequin to use for my Etsy vintage clothing store. After countless hours of searching, I finally found this one. It is a wonderful piece to display all clothing - from dresses to pants to shirts. My vintage dresses look so much better on this mannequin. And to think I spent less than $100 for it. What a good deal!PRO: Easy to assemble. No odor as reported for other mannequins. Can stick pins in.CON: My only complaint (and it is minor) is the pole is slightly wobbly at the base plate if the screws are not tight. This will cause the mannequin to lean. You really should use a wrench to tighten the screws down. It's a cute dress form. I bought it to display clothes that I sell. I'm not sure how well it would work for a seamstress. It collapses at random so I've learned to just dress it while the stand is lowered, then raise it for photo taking. The top decorative part falls of very easily, if you tip it to the side at all it will fall off. It dents easily too. The first time it fell it dented so badly that I had to hammer it back into shape.I think I'd go a size up if I purchased again, it's very tiny. I purposely bought this size because I figured I could pin the clothes back, but it hasn't really worked that well. The shoulder span is very narrow so even small clothes tend to droop.Being a wedding gown designer, I always have three or four gowns on display at all times. I've used other display forms in the past, but these by far are the best! The color is lovely and soft and the stand is heavy and sturdy; what more could you want?! They are a little small in the waist and hip to represent any real body I've ever seen, but I just added a little padding and it's perfect! I plan on adding a few more to my herd! Great product! All in all it looks quite nice and is very lightweight and portable. One issue though- I ordered the dress form in a size 6 but the one I recieved is much thinner than I had expected! I estimate that it would be closer to a size 2 or at most a size 4 in the majority of women's clothing brands I have encountered. Perhaps it reflects vintage sizing norms?Regardless, I am quite happy with this purchase and feel that I recieved considerable value for a very reasonable price. The product I received had two separate defects. Instead of immediately allowing for an exchange they went into an extensive back and forth with several separate requests for pictures. After a time, I contacted Amazon directly to ask them to get involved. Only then did they allow for a return. Instead of an exchange as I requested, they refunded my purchase; probably for the best. - The whole process took about a month. I missed Black Friday and will likely not get a replacement until after the Christmas season. This item is, in my opinion, very poor quality. The topper came dented and is very flimsy. I tried to attach it anyway to see if I could manage to get it attached even with the defect and ended up dropping it and severely dented it. As the topper has no way to permanently attach, it could be very dangerous since it's metal. I can't imagine dropping it on a bare foot. The second defect was that the pole was incredibly loose. From all the back and forth, I got the impression that may be made that way. I never could get a straight answer about it.This item was shipped/arrived quickly. Was exactly as described and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was sturdier than I expected. The base is heavier than you would think.Note: The jersey covering on the body form is actually an ivory, not white. Also, the metal component that covers the neck portion of the form is actually removable and there is a hole there in which you can put other props (silk flowers, etc) if you'd prefer.
